Nianticの事業分割関係の記事にEndgameの話題が一切出てこない。
ゲームはリリースしていないし新規開発は停止しているのだろうからその点では問題はないのだろう。
ARG サイト ttps://www.ancientsocieties.com/ も閉鎖済み（どころか今は広告業者に奪われている・・ 私が買っておけば良かった。）だし、その他関連サイトも閉鎖済みなのでそれもよい。
けれどEndgame: Ancient Truthのコンテンツの一部はいまも YouTube, X, Instagramに残っており、またAncient Truthのキャラクターなどを使う際の権利関係の管理は必要だろう。
そう思って商標を調べてみた。Ancient Truth開始時はまだNianticはGoogleの一部だったので、Nianticの商標すべておよびGoogle, Alphabetのgame関連の商標一覧（ジャンルを絞らないと多すぎた・・）を見てみたが、Endgameに関する商標が失効分を含めても見当たらない。
さらに調べたところ、このような権利があった。

これはJames Freyが自身の関連権利を管理するために作ったらしい "Full Fathom Five"という会社が申請しており、内容的にAncient Truthもここに含まれるように見える。Gold Huntもかな。
そして、上の商標権は2017年に失効しているようだ。
だとすると、YouTube等のアカウント管理の責任がどこにあるかみたいな問題は残るがさすがにそれはこちらから見えないのは仕方ないので何か整理がされていると信じるとして、Nianticの事業分割で分割すべきものがないというのは真っ当な気がする。
寂しいものだが。
